Reflections on ISOA Qatar 2025
Reflections on ISOA Qatar 2025 – Vince Kelly, VP Portfolios, Austability Group Ltd.
Building shared futures at ISOA Qatar 2025 – a powerful event looking at strengthening business relationships and understanding the complicated dynamics of the Middle East.
This was a key event for Austability, as we look to foster peace and security around the world. Attending alongside me were the head of our Dubai business, Ana Dimayuga and her 2IC Jessa Campo.
It was an important networking opportunity …and there were some important insights, including:
· Don’t try and be something to everyone – one CEO put it very succinctly when he said, “if I ask you, as a potential subcontractor, what do you do, please do not tell me ‘I’ll do anything you want’ - focus on niche areas where your business excels.”
· Understand the local market. Sounds obvious but it’s important to continue researching and learning about local business practices, customs, and regulations to avoid pitfalls. Investment requirements – do your research and learn about available incentives and potential for financing; it may reveal that the cost of doing business in Qatar is more than what a small business can easily manage without outside help or partners.
Although this particular event was focused on opportunities within Qatar, these challenges can be experienced in any location where an organisation is considering doing business.
As I reflect on those insights and what they mean for Austability and our clients and suppliers, it reaffirms my knowledge that we are mission-ready to deliver world class operational support services to the Five Eyes and their allies and partners.
We have been working in the Middle East for many years – we know the environment, we know our clients and have strong network of suppliers.
We stand ready to support you and your mission objectives.
