Austability Continues to Support TAPS Globally
Austability Group is proud to continue our support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) around the globe with the TAPS Australia Postvention Workshop for Veteran Families. Taking place last week from 24-28th July 2025 in Sydney, this workshop was the first-of-its-kind and designed for veteran families bereaved by suicide, offering an immersive experience of peer support training, healing and co-designing the future of postvention in Australia.
Delivered in partnership with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, the Veteran Family Advocate Commissioner, and trusted national and international partners, the workshop connected those who have experienced military suicide loss and offered tools and support for grief, trauma and recovery.
On the 25th July, participants joined a Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb to honour those who have been lost to suicide. Austability was honoured to support the event, with some of our team members taking part.
Supporting veterans and their families is a cause close to our heart, along with our commitment to building a safer, stronger world that fosters opportunities and supports global peace and stability.
TAPS is a non-profit organization that provides compassionate care and comprehensive support to those grieving the loss of a military loved one. Founded in 1994 in the US, TAPS has provided comfort and hope through a national peer support network and grief resources. The organization provides a variety of programs to survivors and their families nationally and around the world.
Through our foundation Austability Support Institute for Special Tribute, Inc. (ASIST), we support TAPS as we work towards the same goals of fostering peace and security.
We previously donated USD 175,000 to the organization on the eve of the Annual TAPS Honor Guard Gala in Washington DC. Bonnie Carrol, the President & Founder at TAPS, thanked Austability:
“We are profoundly grateful for Austability’s unwavering support, which enables us to make a life-changing impact to those who have sacrificed in defense of freedom. This steadfast partnership strengthens our mission to build a global network of resilience - from South Korea to the United States to Ukraine - ensuring that those who serve, and the loved ones they leave behind, are never forgotten.”
In Ukraine, as the country defends itself from Russia’s illegal invasion, we also support TAPS work as they provide vital trauma and combat casualty care training for volunteer medics, military personnel and civilian responders.
Our partnership with TAPS continues to be a rewarding commitment to respecting and fostering a real difference around the world. Through their vital work, TAPS provide comfort and hope for families of fallen heroes whilst nurturing vital shared community. At Austability, we are proud to support such a cause.
