Despite increasing management time and money investments, innovation remains challenging for defence companies to optimize expeditionary deployments in austere and conflict environments and post-conflict retrograde. Innovative initiatives often fail, and successful innovations face hard times sustaining their performance as companies try to balance innovation and develop effective strategies. Building and maintaining innovative ideas can be challenging; the most common cause is the failure to execute, and efforts are rooted in the lack of an innovation strategy.
